- Ensures that the PM program is efficiently ran and completed for all the facilities
- Coordinates all maintenance and repairs for all the department and facilities.
- Plans all department training on safety and technical procedures.
- Cordinates all projects for the facilities to ensure that there is as few interruptions as possible.
- Ensures that the facility remains safe for vistors and staff.
- Coordinates contractors working in the facility proficiently.
- Ensures that all projects are kept within the time frame and within the budget.
- Ensures that all state regulations are maintained for all medical equipment
- Coordinates fire and safety measures throughout the facility and serves as liason to hospital and state officials.
- Manages and coordinates staffing keeping the overtime at a minimum.
- Manages the department inventory keeping it at a minimum.
- Ensures that payroll is correct and verified on time.
- Coordinates that all documentation is kept in an orderly manner for officials review.
- Demonstrates creativity, intelligence, and discretion in planning, organizing and coordinating department functions.
- Assesses a situation, considers alternatives, and chooses the appropriate course of action.
- Completes employee evaluations in a timely manner and assesses staff competencies on an ongoing basis.
- Demonstrates proficiency at hospital wide and/or department specific computer software and technology.
- Demonstrates fiscal accountability for department resources and the ability to achieve outcome within allocated resources.
- Communicates and supports the hospital's mission, vision, and values, as well as departmental goals to all staff.
- Defines performance objectives and metrics for the department.
- Collaborates with other departments to problem solve ongoing issues that impact department/organizations goals and/or patient care delivery.
- Incorporates quality improvement data and/or patient satisfaction data into departmental goals.
- Ensures accurate and timely reporting of department payroll.
- Aware of customers and their needs; attempts to meet those needs in a helpful, timely manner. Resolves complaints and problems; searches for ways to prevent them in the future. Courteous; relates well to both internal and external customers.
- Serves as a role model for Community Care customer service expectation.
- Adheres to current policies/procedures for safety. Observes normal precautions and effectively handles all hazardous materials or equipment associated with current job. Can be counted on to follow emergency plans when necessary.

Job DescriptionDescription:Director of Plant Services
POSITION PURPOSE
Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls the activities of the Plant Operations Department to provide services, repair and maintenance necessary to insure the safe and efficient operation of the hospital and clinic facilities, and to maintain a comfortable physical environment for patients, employees, medical staff and the public in accordance with policies, procedures, standards and practices set by NWMRMC , the State Department of Public Health and other local community and governmental agencies, Administers construction/renovation projects.
Requirements:POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School graduate or GED required
Experience: Mininum of 7 years experience at a large hospital
Working Conditions: Work environment changes consistently
VISUAL AND HEARING REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to see with corrective eye wear.
Must be able to hear clearly with assistance.
May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases. May be in contact with patients in a wide variety of circumstatances. Able to handle emergency or crisis situations. Occasionally subject to irregular hours. May be required to wear protective equipment as necessary.
