    *Job Summary:

    The Registered Nurse is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others.

    Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a duly licensed practitioner authorized by the laws of this state to prescribe such medications and treatments

    *Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with procedures
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
    • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
    • Monitor and ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients
    • Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures
    • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
    • Assist in specimen collection processing and interpretation of results
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
    *Qualifications: * *Must have RECENT (WITHIN THE LAST YEAR OR TWO) ACUTE CARE MED-SURG EXPERIENCE. \
    • Would be Open to PCU/CVICU/ICU acute experience.
    • Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
    • Previous experience in an acute care setting
    • Current Florida State Registered Nurse license. Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure.
    • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
    • Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
    • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.

    ratio; PCT- 1:10-13 Med Surg, Oncology (10% patients-chemo cert provided at no cost if want to),Ortho, 40 % of patients are trauma straight from ER or ICU, Pneumonia, some Baker Act Psych patients sent out to South Seminole Hospital or other psych Facilities.
