    Job Summary

    Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment & Student Affairs, the Director of Student Recruitment & Communications is responsible for leading a comprehensive student recruitment and enrollment communication strategy for Lake-Sumter State College. This position works closely with program leads to fully understand the target market, curriculum, and competitive landscape for each pathway and develop recruiting strategies for each program while working with external constituents and the internal recruitment team to implement these strategies.

    The Director of Student Recruitment and communications directs student recruitment and communication efforts and acts as a liaison with the Marketing Department to develop and execute an enrollment-focused outreach plan for the entire portfolio of LSSC programs. They will also guide and extensively utilize department usage of the Customer Relationship Management system (TargetX/Salesforce), as well as integrated communication platforms.

    Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's core values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating and Celebrating.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    • Develops communication plans for each program, targeting important actions throughout the full student cycle with emphasis on initial matriculation and re-enrollment.
    • Leads and executes programmatic recruiting plans to meet program enrollment goals using research and data analysis to increase effectiveness.
    • Utilizes the College's customer relationship management (CRM) platform for all communications, tracking response rates, and other metrics to improve outreach efforts.
    • Supervises the Recruitment Team who represents LSSC to prospective students and organizations, and works to increase inquiries and applicants.
    • Creates a culture of excellence in customer service and metric-driven decision-making.
    • In collaboration with program directors, oversees all aspects of recruitment and evaluation of staff and coordination of office activities.
    • Serves as the primary liaison and collaborates with the Marketing Department to develop a strategic marketing plan for program enrollment, including channels such as digital advertising, social media, and digital and print initiatives.
    • Understands strategic goals and curriculum for each program and guides the strategic outreach and recruitment plan for each program to align with the program goals and curriculum. Evaluates the success of these efforts on an ongoing basis. Ensures that the strategic goals, strengths and curriculum of each program are accurately represented in all promotional materials including LSSC websites.
    • Establishes strategy and directs the campus tour experience (in-person and online).
    • Oversees documentation and training for CRM tools, as performed by all staff involved with student outreach and communication.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    • Relevant experience demonstrating the production of creative outputs.
    • Relevant experience with budget preparation and fiscal management.
    • Extensive experience with CRM and communication platforms.
    • Strong leadership skills in lead management and lead cultivation.
    • Strong oral and written communication, proofreading, and public speaking/presentation skills.
    • General understanding of data analytics, web design/content management, and social media.
    • Experience publicizing and marketing academic services, inside sales, marketing strategies/campaigns, and recruitment initiatives.
    Minimum Qualifications & Education

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of related professional experience.
    • Master's degree is preferred.
    • Previous supervisory experience.
