Located in the beautiful town of Cardiff-By-The-Sea, Seaside Market has been serving the community since 1985. Have you tried our famous Cardiff Crack Tri-Tip? Now we're seeking a Cook to play a key role in delivering delicious and high-quality dishes to our customers. We're on the lookout for friendly individuals who genuinely care about customer satisfaction. If you have a passion for cooking and engaging with people, this opportunity is for you

Responsibilities:

Ensure all prepared food meets Seaside's excellence standards.
Cook food in quantities based on the menu and serving requirements.
Prepare and display foods in designated areas for hot foods.
Follow menus and instructions while preparing ingredients.
Keep the kitchen continuously moving with efficient food production.
Prepare salads and HMR (Home Meal Replacement) items.
Other duties as assigned
Maintain kitchen cleanliness, stock inventory, and rotate supplies.
Observe all store rules and company policies;
Follow all safety and health guidelines
Guide customers utilizing Seaside Markets core values of Excellent Customer Service, Quality Products, and Community

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Age 18 or older to handle alcoholic beverage transactions (California state law).
Previous customer service experience preferred
Language and Math Ability: Read, write, and perform basic math accurately.
Food Handler Certification required. (Available upon hire.)

Physical Requirements: To successfully perform essential job functions, employees must:

Regularly stand and use hands for handling, fingering, or feeling objects, tools, or controls, engaging in repetitive motions.
Frequently walk, talk, or hear, and reach with hands and arms; occasionally crouch or kneel.
Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds of supplies and frequently exert or lift negligible amounts of weight.
Have specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus for verifying invoices and other written documents.
Perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping floors, lifting and carrying trash containers for outside disposal.
Demonstrate sufficient physical mobility to respond quickly to emergencies and cleanup requests.
Tolerate moderate amounts of dust and chemical fumes during routine housekeeping duties.
