    Description

    Please note: this position requires your physical presence at the workplace. No remote work option available.

    Requirements:

    • Wearing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and strictly following safety procedures outlined in the KTN Safety Manual and OSHA regulations.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
    • Proficiency in basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
    • Having a strong commitment to quality standards.
    • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 55 lbs.
    • Working in both indoor and outdoor environments, even under extreme weather conditions.
    • Keeping the work area and equipment clean and organized.
    • Performing various tasks in support of the KTN organization, including General labor.
    • Being flexible to work outside of regular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as per business requirements.
    • Punctuality is key - arriving at least 5 minutes before the shift starts.
    • Strict adherence to all KTN work and safety guidelines.
    • Ability to follow Visual Operating Procedures relevant to assigned tasks.

    Responsibilities:

    • Issuing purchase orders within the agreed lead-time and pricing for timely delivery as per production requirements.
    • Collaborating with different departments like planning, customer service, production, maintenance, and finance to ensure efficient resource allocation and material usage optimization.
    • Managing the inventory of packaging materials to prevent shortages or excess supply for both Katoen Natie and Customers.
    • Ensuring team members perform their duties according to company policies and procedures.
    • Maintaining and renewing company purchase agreements while ensuring compliance.
    • Coordinating with various departments to complete requests and projects.
    • Knowledge of PIMs system.
    • Supervising team members in analyzing user patterns and forecasting future demands.
    • Evaluating and recording feedback from users to suppliers for continuous improvement.
    • Managing stock levels for consumables if required.
    • Being adaptable to changes in demand and logistics if needed.
    • Meeting and negotiating with suppliers for purchase terms and contracts.
    • Collaborating with internal compliance and secretarial teams for supplier agreement reviews.
    • Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers for cost savings for the company and customers.
    • Maintaining transparent relationships with all suppliers.
    • Assisting in supplier communications for any complaints, claims, or improvement needs.
    • Reviewing supplier evaluation results with CFO/COO for improvement planning.
    • Establishing and maintaining new sourcing relationships through research and analysis.
    • Attending management meetings for project support as needed.
    • Ensuring proper processing of supplier quotations by team members.
    • Ensuring all purchased goods and services meet the requirements.
    • Keeping accurate records of purchase orders, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
    • Supporting internal quality control systems and updating quality procedures.
    • Performing other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
