    Position Summary
    The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the administrative support needed to ensure efficient operations within the Logistics Department.
    Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

    • Locate tracking numbers on freight carriers' website
    • Quote shipments using online tools
    • Maintain freight in transit (FIT) report based on tracking updates
    • Enter freight forwarder information into a database
    • Assist with monthly reporting requirements
    • Provide shipment proof of delivery to customer service and accounting
    • Respond to Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code email questions
    • Follow up on shipment errors and damages
    • Book upcoming shipments with correct route and mode
    • Schedule container deliveries and maintain a container utilization report based on weight/volume
    • Communicate accurate ship dates and potential bottlenecks to internal departments
    • Perform other duties as needed by management
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • 3 to 5 years of purchasing and logistics processes knowledge
    • Effective communication skills including technical writing
    • Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize, plan and organize
    • Capable of following oral and written instructions
    • Ability to work autonomously and adapt and learn quickly
    • Capable of communicating frequently with multiple departments in a professional manner
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish
    • Broker Import & Export experience
    • Can meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    Educational & Certification Requirements

    • Associates' degree preferred or equivalent experience
    Software Skills

    • Sound knowledge of MS Office applications with the ability to create reports and presentations
    • Experience working with an ERP and Transportation Management Systems
