- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend metal sheets and plates to precise angles and dimensions
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine bending requirements
- Select and install appropriate tooling and dies on press brake machines
- Adjust machine settings, such as speed and pressure, to achieve desired bending results
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy
- Inspect finished parts for defects, dimensions, and quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with press brake machines and their operation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric tolerances
- Strong mathematical skills for calculating bend allowances and angles
- Attention to detail and precision in performing bending operations
- Physical strength and stamina to lift and maneuver heavy metal sheets and plates
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to press brake operations
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Visual acuity and attention to detail for inspecting finished parts
