    Description

    Knowledge of Automatic Control Systems theory and Embedded Real-Time Control Systems


    • Work with specialized software for engine and vehicle calibration


    • Work with engines or vehicles in a variety of physical test environments (in car, on dyno, various altitudes, hot and cold geographic areas, etc.)


    • Support project reviews targeted to assure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements


    • Support customer meetings


    • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and build technical knowledge and ability


    • Maintain ISO required documentation (project diary, open issues list etc.)


    • Travel for purposes of test trips, training, or meetings, possibly outside the country for up to several months


    • Knowledge of On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) standards and architecture


    • Knowledge to use ETAS INCA and MDA for calibration


    • Knowledge of ISO/SAE standard norms for CAN/LIN/PLC communication


    • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering and V-Cycle Software Development Process, including Agile Autoscrum


    • Knowledge of Model-Based Function Design and AUTOSAR compliance


    • Communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills

    Self-management: candidates must be able to manage own work without Supervisor input on day-by-day basis


    • Working Knowledge English


    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 2+ years relevant experience


    • Ideally 2-4 years' experience in Automotive area

    Reliability Profile - Requested technical skills:


    • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and build technical knowledge and ability


    • Maintain ISO required documentation (project diary, open issues list etc.)


    • Travel for purposes of test trips, training, or meetings, possibly outside the country for up to several months


    • Knowledge of On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) standards and architecture


    • Log all Powertrain related events coming from the fleets into the issues tracking sheet.


    • Provide a daily status of vehicles not broadcasting data, and work with engineering personnel to correct the issue


    • Confirm engineering vehicles are set up with appropriate hardware, data logging instrumentation, and are flashed with the correct powertrain calibration


    • Provide fleet status (vehicle up or down, mileage, calibration, data recorder configuration)


    • Calibration distribution/tracking


    • Data recorder configuration distribution/tracking


    • Investigate infrastructure and data logger issues


    • Work with fleet test sites to resolve vehicle and recorder issues.


    • Help fleet operations coordinate vehicle transfers between test sites


    • Initiate and track system requests for powertrain calibration updates within 1 working day of calibration release notification
