Description

Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire.

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.As a Linux and Cloud Application Support Specialist for Space and Intelligence Systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for ensuring virtual machines and applications run successfully within a Platform As A Service environment.

The Linux and Cloud Application Support Specialist will be responsible for new installation and deployment of Platform As A Service systems, to include monthly systems updates and troubleshooting application or VM issues.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VM management, containerized services, tiered helpdesk experience.

Wants to get hands-on experience with a lot of different applications/software
Wants to improve user experience and overall product performance
Flexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)

This position is hybrid with scheduled on-site and in office support.
While on-site, you will be a part of the Schriever Space Force Base operations and support team.
