    We are currently looking for a Principal EHS Engineer located at Solar Turbines Harbor Drive Facility.

    The EHS Engineer serves as an experienced individual contributor on Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that support and enhance Solar's facility performance and compliance.

    Job

    Duties/Responsibilities

    may include, but are not limited to:
    Identifies common

    safety/health/environmental

    hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.

    Facilitates development and delivery of EHS training to facility personnel ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.

    Audits

    safety/health/environmental

    programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
    Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions and alerts line management to problems.
    Conducts incident investigations.
    Participates in industrial hygiene activities.
    Regularly interacts with employees and supervisors on the implementation and/or adherence to EHS policy.

    The successful candidate has knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and the ability to implement EHS policies to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with legal requirements and standards.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Requires a Bachelor's degree in an Environmental, Health and Safety-related discipline, such as Engineering or Science
    Requires a minimum of 7 years of closely related professional work experience

    Alternative acceptable preparation is a Master's degree in a discipline similar to the above and a minimum 5 years of experience; or, related education through the Ph.

    D. level and min. three years of related experience

    Top Candidates will also have :
    Ability to perform complex assignments
    Manufacturing experience (either directly or support)
    Industrial Hygiene certifications and/or experience
    Ability to communicate and build relationships effectively
    Ability to influence others
    Strong data analytical skills
    Strong technical and leadership skills
    Strong understanding of data analytics
    Familiarity with the following programs is preferred but not required: Workday Learning, COUPA, Cority, 3E

    Location of this position is in San Diego, California at the Harbor Drive Location. The position has regular 1 st

    shift hours and is not eligible for remote work.
    Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.

    Summary Pay Range:
    $117, $176,910.00

    Summary Pay Range:
    $117, $176,910.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market

    knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
