    Description

    Perform industrial engineering duties in furtherance of the IE methods and systems used by the factories to improve performance. Responsible for setting and driving program and project management of shop floor systems, driving and improving standardized line balancing methodologies and reports in order to maximize Front End factory output and improve stability. Standardize and rationalize reporting structures within Frond End operations. Develop rules of engagement to options for reducing line disruptions and design operation of Industrial Engineering Solutions. Identify and share internal/external BKMs, and translate requests by end users (line managers, industrial engineers and managers) into a repeatable solution. Develop tools to identify and prevent line balance issues, and develop guidelines for reaction and prevention to ensure the delivery of high quality, scalable technologies. Up to 5% of domestic (Arizona and Texas) and international (Netherlands) travel req'd.

    Qualifications:

    PhD degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.

    Required skills:

    Position requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis involving:

    • Stochastic Systems modeling;
    • Queueing theory;
    • Factory Physics;
    • Discrete event simulations;
    • Mathematical programming and optimization techniques;
    • Programming skills in Python/Julia/R;
    • Data Analysis using Dataiku/ JMP/ R;
    • Reporting systems like Tableau/ Power BI/ R shiny app; and
    • Machine learning libraries.
