- Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
- Protects Company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
- Monitors and confirms the Company's financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors
- Maximizes returns and limits risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments
- Performs financial modeling to support business decisions and acts as an advisor to senior management
- Prepares budgets and achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variance and initiating corrective actions
- Provides status of the Company's financial condition by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data
- Prepares or coordinates the preparation of tax documents
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions
- Manages insurance, permitting, and licensing requirements including record retention and compliance
- Oversees the Payroll, Cost Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions either personally or by managing staff performing these functions.
- Oversees vehicle title and registration process and manages staff performing these functions
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential, adheres to the highest ethical standards
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant license Preferred
- Minimum 5-10 years of successful experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
- Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and priority scheduling skills
- Ability to motivate team members to produce quality work within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
