Maertens-Brenny Construction is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our company. We specialize in light civil, industrial, and commercial projects in the Midwest. We self-perform carpentry, masonry, and demolition. Maertens-Brenny is a mid-size general contractor so youll enjoy working with all levels of our team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position carries out the bidding process for projects as well as the construction of those projects upon award. The Project Manager is the overall leader for our projects, resulting in oversight of employees, quality, schedule, and safety. Some of the duties include but are not limited to:

BID PROCESS

Project selection for pursuit.

Maintain previous client contacts in order to foster relationships for future contracts.

Take-offs and cost estimates from owner bid documents.

Submittal of bids.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Create and maintain project budget.

Approve invoices and make the appropriate financial decisions for the project

Select trade partners and suppliers.

Manage project-specific contracts.

Job cost tracking.

Provide oversight of superintendent.

Ensure appropriate staffing levels are met on each project.

JOBSITE RESPONSIBILITIES

Resolve site issues for the owner or owners representative.

Engage the owners point of contact to establish and cultivate a long-term quality relationship.

Execute change orders.

Maintain schedule and budget through the life of the project.

Provide management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for project and team members.

Qualifications

Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.

Degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent experience.

Preferred Degrees: Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar.

Demonstrated computer and technology proficiency (MS Office, P3 Software, Procore)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while keeping a positive attitude.

Excellent work ethic.

Readiness to join a fun work environment.

Valid Drivers License.
