    Description

    We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Registered Nurse to join our team at UNM Hospitals. As a Bilingual Registered Nurse, you will work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to a diverse group of patients, including Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics. In this role, you will assist with special tests and procedures, ensure patient medical records contain necessary information and administer medications, including IV. Furthermore, you will work in collaboration with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans incorporating age specific considerations, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching.

    We provide extensive educational and training opportunities through our Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) and offer a sign-on bonus and relocation reimbursement for successful candidates. We also offer up to $8.00 in addition to base pay, depending on your Nursing Education and National Certifications. Weekday nights attract 17% shift differential, while weekend nights receive a 26% differential and 15% differential for weekend day shifts.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program
    • Current RN license in New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
    • Current CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification or professional rescuers w/in 30 days
    • Bilingual fluency in one of the following: English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
    • Optional qualifications include PALS, TNCC and/or ENPC, and national certification in area of specialty.

    Physical Conditions:

    • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and ten to twenty pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
