Scope of Position:
In this role you will supervise, coordinate, and coach employees engaged in production of WIP components or finished good product for the Life Sciences businesses at the plant.
You will be responsible for shift performance towards production objectives and personnel adherence to facility procedures, policies, and documentation.Shift:
We are a 24/7 facility, this position requires flexibility to work both a 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am shift.
Eventually, this position would end up being one shift or the other.Day to Day Responsibilities:
Achieve superior safety and housekeeping performanceSupport all safety, quality, and production goalsPrioritize and support production schedules based on equipment efficiency, materials supply, and labor resources to ensure daily production goals are met for quality and quantityProvides direct supervision and daily work assignments and instruction to subordinatesDirect subordinates to achieve individual, team, and identified plant goals and objectivesProvide immediate supervision to a team of employees by assigning tasks, checking work, and ensuring resources align with production/scheduling needsResponsible for holding teams to standard operating procedures, code of conduct, plant/company and safety rules, collective bargaining agreementEngage Union workforce by setting clear expectations and cultivating team accountabilityInteract daily with all levels of the organization to facilitate exchange of critical informationDefine and achieve quality performance that allows Oneonta to meet or exceed expectations and manufacturing goals and cost objectivesDrive continual process improvement utilizing Six Sigma ProcessesGain and utilize knowledge of process control for manufacturing decision-makingGather and analyze Process data relating to Continuous Flow processPlay a key role in supporting continuous improvement efforts to achieve and sustain equipment availability and line performance goalsSupport new product implementations as requiredAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesRequired Education and Experience: Bachelor's degreeMinimum 1+ years supervisory or manufacturing experience

Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
