You will also conduct studies in operations to maximize workflow and spatial utilization.Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesExecutes strategic objectives of engineering function to ensure operational reliability consistent with the needs of the broader organization and to ensure the maximum availability and longevity of assetsSupports and/or conducts equipment feasibility studies for recommendations for investment; contributes to development of capital expenditure planDesigns and manages capital projects to enhance efficiencies, improve performance, and meet growth plans, including defining the scope of work, budget, schedule and responsibilitiesCollaborates with cross-functional leaders to implement capital investment projects to drive operational excellenceSupports key stakeholders on project design and management, supplier selection, new equipment acquisition and installation, materials acquisition, and process changesAssures all tasks are performed in a safe manner, and comply with all company, local, state, and federal requirementsMaintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publicationsEssential to this PositionThe Industrial Engineer with Menasha Packaging will be responsible for providing technical support to Production, Maintenance, and IT in order to enhance and improve overall productivity in plant operations and processes.
Responsible for assisting plants on machinery layout, product flow, identifying and removing bottlenecks, and efficiency throughput improvementsWork with locations to ensure preventative maintenance programs are in place and fully functional.
Help to identify training and development needs for maintenance function in all plantsAssist plants to optimize their production capabilities.Provide production management assistance when requiredAssist division and corporate IT personnel on interface of the main business management computer system, with key production equipment or production functionsOversee energy conservation process.
Identify and implement projects and programs to reduce utility cost across division. Monitor and report on energy consumption levelsResponsible for assisting plants in the gathering, archiving, and updating of equipment drawings and OEM manualsMake recommendations as to technical solutions to decision-making processAvailable to travel to various locations, as neededTravel varies, up to 50%, typically home on weekendsTechnical/Experience Required Or Desired:Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferredRelated experience including experience in project engineering, maintenance, and project managementExtensive knowledge in technical issues of engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing problemsAutoCAD experience requiredCorrugated or mill experience preferred#LI-CB1Two companies, one vision.
