Machinist - Level 2

As a Machinist - Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will play acrucial role in our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible forsetting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision partsand instruments. Your expertise in machining techniques and ability tointerpret blueprints and specifications will ensure the production ofhigh-quality components. Additionally, you will contribute to processimprovement initiatives and maintain a safe and organized work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, such aslathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce precision parts

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications todetermine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces

• Measure, examine, and test completed components to ensureconformance to specifications

• Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keepdimensions within specified tolerances

• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments asnecessary to ensure quality and productivity

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams tooptimize machining processes and improve efficiency

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safetyprotocols and guidelines
YOU MUST HAVE

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machinist,preferably in a manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in operating and setting up machine tools,such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders

• Strong knowledge of machining techniques and ability tointerpret blueprints and specifications

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintainhigh-quality standards

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Technical certification or associate degree in machiningor related field

• Experience with CNC machining

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
