Implement established nursing policies and procedures, educating nursing support staff according to facility guidelines.
Assign duties to Nursing Assistants as directed.
Handle and report family and resident complaints that occur during your tour of duty.
Document in resident's chart pertinent information about significant change in resident's condition, two week summaries, and quarterly summaries.
Maintain a safe working environment, complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.
Monitor specific quality assurance areas as directed by the Director of Nursing.
Give medications and procedures per MARAudit nursing charts as instructed by Director of Nursing.
Attend monthly educational in-service programs in order to meet facility educational requirements.
Assist with in-service for CNTs.
Stock nursing supplies, order medications and stock.
Other duties as directed by the Director of Nursing.
Personal DemandsDeal effectively with staff, residents, families, superiors, and government representatives in a professional manner.
Develop a thorough knowledge of facility's operations and physical layout.
Exhibit initiative and willingness to learn.
