    This position is a Senior Solution Engineer, Technical Lead and a technology savvy individual with exemplary knowledge of industry trends and applies them successfully in their areas of work, leading the engineering excellence of the organization.

    Is responsible for driving engineering practices, tools, processes and acts an advisor to the SVP of Digital Technologies as well as supports the rest of the digital engineering team.

    Is for leading, designing, modeling and communicating Application Delivery best practices.

    Position will be responsible for the establishment, maintenance, and governance of Application Design Patterns and Application Development Frameworks. The position will work with stakeholders to plan and organize project solutions.

    The position will work with Business Relationship Management, Project Management and Architecture during the PMLC and SDLC to review, estimate and recommend delivery approaches.

    The position will provide design guidance to technical staff, including but not limited to process enhancement/improvement tasks.

    This position provides value to the Business and IT through strategic and tactical guidance in all areas of application delivery disciplines and business domains.

    Position will be a major contributor to innovation through evaluating solutions, leveraging resources, independent thinking and integrity of ideas. Success will be measured by quality, performance and expertise in delivery approaches, integration solutions, customer satisfaction and governance/policy contributions.

    Digital Technologies Senior Consultant


    reports to the Director/VP of Applications Delivery & Services to deliver robust applications based on best practice software engineering that is well aligned with the SDLC process.


    How You'll Shine:


    Advises and leads the project and program workstream teams of software engineers across the full stack (UI, API, middleware, micro-services, ETL, etc.) environment in a technical leadership capacity.

    Provides design approach, models and articulates application delivery best practices.

    Provides oversight for multiple cross-functional project teams to ensure adherence to software design and architectural approaches to create stability and pattern reuse.

    Engage with Architecture team to balance and align Architecture recommendations with Delivery strategy and gaps. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends solutions using advanced architectures and technologies to facilitate rapid development and implementation. Approves solution design for alignment with Enterprise guidelines, business expectations, performance SLAs, architectural standards, and quality benchmarks.


    Engage with various Information Technology teams (Business Relationship Management, Project Management, Architecture, Quality Management, Requirements Management, Delivery) during the PMLC and SDLC to review, estimate and recommend delivery approaches.


    Provides application and design guidance to technical staff by providing oversight and guidance in analyzing complex and unique business and systems requirements, and designs solutions for applications, data, processes, interfaces, controls, outputs, environment, infrastructure tools/utilities and/or testing that fit within the recommended time frame, architecture, standards and budget.

    Contributes to innovation through evaluating solutions, leveraging resources, independent thinking and integrity of ideas.

    Provides strategic and tactical application delivery guidance in all areas of delivery disciplines and business domains. Provides applications and design guidance and oversight to technical staff.

    Travel Requirements
    Less than 10%.

    Travel to different business units or sites may be necessary.

    What You'll Bring:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field, (Master's degree or equivalent is highly preferred).

    PC Skills with MS Office, or equivalent

    Certifications in Java, Web development or similar technologies, preferred.

    Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, possess good written and oral communication skills.

    Experience consulting and collaborating directly with customers/business/stakeholders

    Anticipates internal and external business challenges; recommends product solutions or system improvements.

    Able to translate unique and highly complex requirements into technical components

    Experience leading diverse teams (employee, consultant; onsite, offsite)

    Lead program and product design activities

    Demonstrate excellent analytical, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills

    Demonstrate excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

    Provide technical oversight to multiple functional teams

    Experience with contemporary architectures, design patterns, best practices, and computer programming techniques, such as Modular and Object - Oriented Programming

    Experience with containerized and composable application design principles

    Experience with SOX/PCI and similar compliance protocols

    Experience with major application development languages (Java, .NET, C#, SFDC Apex, COTS)


    Experience in one or more of the following technologies Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Web MVC, Hibernate, RESTful, JSON, Angular JS, React, others.

    Full stack development experience

    12+ years of experience in hands-on applications development leveraging
    J2EE Technologies – Core Java, JSPs, REST and SOAP Web Services, JDBC

    Web Technologies- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax

    Version Control – Bit Bucket, SVN, TFS, GitHub, Copado

    Application Server – WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache

    7+ years Micro-services development experience (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud), including services rationalization and governance

    Data modeling/design/Use Case experience

    N-Tier Application design, UX/UI experience (AEM)

    Experience with CI/CD software such as GitOps, GitLab, Jenkins, TFS, etc.

    Experience with code quality software such as SonarQube

    Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud integration

    15+ years of IT experience in a scaled application development environment

    4+ years of IT experience in a technical lead role

    Experience in developing applications for Hospitality Industry preferred

    Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and integration with key technologies and peer teams

    Ability to coordinate closely and promulgate effectively enterprise Architecture and Engineering best practices and guidelines.

    Experience leading a multi-site and/or offshore development team

    Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

    Experience with various software estimation techniques

    Solid understanding and experience with Domain based environments and subsequent aligned development practices and governance

    Ability to coordinate close with key business partners and translate needs into effective coding practices

    Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
