- Masters degree program designed to prepare a NP to diagnose,treat,and prescribe for a patient's condition that fall within their specialty area of practice < li >National Board Certification in Advanced Practice Nursing required . For NPs who bill for professional services , National Board Certification is required regardless of hire date
