- Lead kitchen operations and oversee all culinary staff, including training, scheduling, and performance support
- Develop seasonal menus and daily specials based on fresh, local ingredients and evolving guest preferences
- Prepare specialty dishes and ensure all food meets Sun Valley Resort's standards for quality and consistency
- Monitor food inventory and place orders to maintain appropriate stock levels
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen that meets or exceeds food safety regulations
- Inspire creativity and excellence across the kitchen team by coaching, mentoring, and modeling best practices
- Stay current with industry trends, presentation techniques, and culinary innovation
- Actively participate in busy service periods while maintaining composure and accuracy
- Collaborate with the administrative and front-of-house teams to align kitchen operations with overall guest experience
- Support with cleaning and prep tasks as needed, especially during peak business times
- Formal training in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience
- Proven leadership in a high-volume or fine-dining kitchen environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and develop a cohesive kitchen team
- Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
- Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Available to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed
