Director- Product Management, Federal and Sovereign Clouds - San Jose, CA, United States - Zscaler

Description

We are looking for a passionate Director of Product Management for Federal and Sovereign Cloud offerings. The leader will work closely with Zscaler's federal business GTM teams as well as product and engineering teams with a focus on innovation, go-forward product strategy to build Zscaler differentiation and strong presence in the federal market. Leader would also work closely with global sales teams in regulated industries to help drive requirements for data sovereignty. This role requires some travel to other Zscaler facilities or customer sites and Zscaler events.

Responsibilities:

• Deep understanding of US Federal and Government markets. Work closely with stakeholders in Sales and Compliance teams to fully understand the needs of the public sector and how that affects product development and delivery roadmaps for our product offerings
• Critical Thinking & Writing: Write excellent, detailed product vision, product specification and business strategy artifacts that clarifies and aligns all stakeholders.
• Work closely with Product Management leadership to prioritize requirements from federal business
• Drive the requirements and go to market for Sovereign cloud offerings, working closely with engineering, regional sales teams and cloud operations teams
• Report status of the deals and business crisply and succinctly to multiple stakeholders, product leadership and sales leadership.
• Actively engage with product and engineering teams to provide feedback on product evaluations and act as a customer advocate

Qualifications:

• Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US citizens.
• 10+ years Product Management experience with at least 3 years in US federal market, preferably in SaaS and/or Cyber Security space
• Familiarity with federal certifications programs such as FedRAMP, DoD IL4 and IL5 is required
• Understanding of data sovereignty needs in global governments and regulated space is highly desirable
• Deep understanding of SWG, ZTNA, Proxies, Firewalls, VPN and data path technologies is mandatory
• Deep understanding of Internet and Network protocols such as TCP, UDP, DNS, SSL etc. is highly desirable
• Deep understanding of Proxies, Firewall, VPN based security stack is highly desirable
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and track the engagement and activity using project management tools is mandatory
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as this is a customer facing role and interacts with multiple stakeholders including sales, engineering, product management etc. on a daily basis
