    Description

    We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Konami team

    This position is responsible forresearchand coordinates projects among Engineering and Game Development group, as well as establishing and maintaining external relations and communication with other firms, vendors, Australian development group and correlating Japanese Research & Development staff.

    This includes managing several key product development projects through communication with local R&D resources, game designers, graphic artists, software, hardware, and mechanical engineers, sales and compliance departments.

    What will you be doing?
    • Ensures project completion and implementation of variables necessary for successful projects as outlined by R&D.
    • Investigates facts and prepares data or documents to address technical, regulatory, or compliance issues and patent issues, and/or ascertains information in order to resolve project restrictions or timelines by performing the following duties.
    • Reports to senior manager any discrepancies, changes or recommendations, and/or problems requiring resolution.
    • Leads or assists in development project(s) and sustains external relations with others and a reporting status. Coordinates the creation and release of all PRGs (product requirement guidelines).
    • Works with Webmaster to release information on intranet and assists with Marketing collateral materials.
    • Applies technical expertise and project management experience to manage and deliver successful implementation of technical projects.
    • Aligns and coordinates timelines and information in order for goals to be met.
    • Prepares reports and recommendations after collaboration and verification with various departments on technical or regulatory licensing issues.
    • Manages key product development projects through the communication with all R&D resources: game designers, graphic artists, software engineers, hardware engineers, and mechanical engineers), sales staff and compliance department.
    • Oversees and/or coordinates with engineering change processes.
    • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution, escalating issues to their manager when necessary

    Qualifications

    What skills and expertise do you bring to the job?
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience in managing software projects.Certified Scrum Master and/or Project Management Professional Certification preferred.
    • 5-7+ years of project management work experience (in game development preferred). Experience with games (video games, casino games, etc) required however exceptions made for demonstrable equivalencies.
    • Intermediate and above level understanding and usage of Microsoft Office products. Must be able to communicate professionally and efficiently (verbal and written) with all levels of the business. Must be able to obtain and retain gaming licensure.

    • Generate Gantt charts for key corporate projects, organize tasks to accurately prioritize importance and report the health of projects.
    • Assist Product Management in properly sizing their key projects to meet the overall company launch strategy. This may include the initial builds and launch schedule.
    • Responsible for cross departmental meetings, clarifying issues with key stakeholders, providing weekly status for C level reporting and holding retrospectives.
    • The Project Manager is responsible for identifying and removing risks/impediments to the team's progress, escalating to their manager as necessary.
