Job summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Service Sales Representative with experience selling B2B building systems or technology products, especially in security systems, life safety, and or commercial HVAC.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within commercial and institutional accounts by surveying needs, promoting solutions, and providing quotes for our comprehensive range of fire protection products, systems, and services
  • Engage with facilities managers, business owners, and key stakeholders to present customized fire and life safety solutions.
  • Build strong client relationships to drive long-term customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Apply a consultative sales approach focused on delivering value-based solutions rather than competing on price
  • Analyze market trends and competitive intelligence to inform and refine sales strategies.
  • Manage and track the sales pipeline through CRM tools, collaborating closely with internal teams to support business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Proven B2B Sales Expertise: 3–5 years of successful outside sales experience, preferably in fire and life safety, building systems, or related technologies such as security or HVAC. Service sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge & Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with fire protection systems, HVAC, applicable local fire codes, and service-based solutions. Ability to quickly learn and apply technical concepts.
  • Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to sell value-based solutions rather than competing on price. Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Self-Motivated & Results-Driven: Comfortable working independently in a competitive market with a performance-based compensation structure. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Team Collaboration: Excellent team player with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery post-sale.
  • Education & Tools Proficiency: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
