    Equinox Consulting Partners LLC is seeking a Security Architect to join our team.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the remediation of the existing Security System Plan (SSP) and baseline backlog of submitting new requests.
    • Ensure that the Commonwealth of Virginia's security requirements necessary to protect missions and business processes are adequately addressed in all aspects of the architecture.
    • Develop and document system security plans, including reference models, segment and solution architectures, and resulting systems supporting missions and business processes.
    • Apply methods, standards, and approaches for describing, analyzing, and documenting an organization's security architecture.
    • Apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements.
    • Employ secure configuration management processes to maintain security standards.
    • Evaluate security architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of proposed solutions in response to requirements.
    • Collaborate with Virginia state government stakeholders to understand specific requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture or related field.
    • Experience with secure configuration management processes.
    • Strong understanding of cybersecurity and privacy principles.
    • Prior experience working with Virginia state government (desired).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work on-site four days per week without exceptions.
    • Must be able to provide evidence of prior Virginia state government experience on resume if applicable.
