    Position Summary:

    Title: Technician Standard III - Logistics Technician
    Duration: 8 Months - Long Term
    Location: Washington, DC 20433

    100% Onsite - 5 Days onsite in a day

    Position Overview:
    The Logistics Service is part of the Network and Infrastructure delivery Unit (ITSNI), which falls under Information Technology Solutions (ITS). We provide the complete logistics services to all our 200 Country offices across the globe in seven regions. The logistics service responsibilities to receive network and audio/video devices/accessories from vendor against a purchase order; Asset management and physical inventory of goods received; work with engineering support team to stage, test and configure devices; Pack, ship and track shipment to Country offices; Dispose retired assets; Client and management reporting on Inventory; shipment tracking

    Essential Job Functions:

    Physically receiving goods against Purchase order (PO); Physical verification of goods with PO line items; Update Asset management database for new assets; maintain multiple storerooms and inventory of accessories; Internal coordination within and other units.

    Staging of Network and Audio/Video devices - Organize devices to rack; power on; connect to the network; cable labelling as per the drawings and guidelines from network engineers; Pack and unpack devices to its original box.

    Shipment packages - Prepare shipment package to be shipped to target locations (Country office or HQ campus); Add accessories and any material as per the shipment requirement.

    Shipment Paperwork - Packing list; eService Request; Air waybill; and other required documents to be sent along the shipment. Send email to respective clients; store respective documents to its folder for later reference; update Asset management record with proper location and other attributes.

    RMA (Return material authorization) - Return defective equipment to vendor, get the replacement, and update respective Asset management record

    Dispose retired assets - Inventory of retired assets; Verify asset record for proper asset update; submit request for generate work list; On approval of work list, have over work list assets to GCS representative

    • Prepare and send Weekly/Monthly (Shipment tracking reports) tracking report to clients

    • Maintain shipment tracker excel workbook, and other tracking files

    Educational Qualifications and Experience:

    • Education: Bachelor College/Associate degree.

    • Knowledge of Communication network equipment and Network Infrastructure equipment.

    Configuration and Change Management, (CMDB) and Asset Management (Life Cycle).

    Role Specific Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in the electrical/network industry
    • wired and wireless technology
    • Audio/Video/Network devices
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Good knowledge and understanding of LAN (wired and wireless)/WAN technology.
    • Physical ability to lift/move up to 70lbs of equipment; Moving and using 6' ladders
    • Good knowledge of basic financials budget, cost, depreciation, value and accounting
    • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment, and deal sensitively in a multi-cultural environment, and build effective working relations with clients and colleagues
    • Excellent customer service, technical, and analytical skills
    • Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel (Advanced features - Formulas; Pivot tables; lookup tables; Graphs; cross tabs and workbook lookup;
    • Knowledge and experience - SAP; ServiceNow tools
    • Knowledge of world geography (Regions/Countries/Cities/Capital - types of electrical connectors; voltage)
