    Job Summary:

    The Bindery Stitcher Operator will operate advanced and complex binding lines, including perfect binders and multiple-station stitcher. Set up, adjust, and operate various bindery and distribution equipment.

    Requirements:

    Responsibilities:

    • Setup and operate Goss Saddlestitchers, Muller Martini Saddlestitchers, Prima, Bravo, and Sitma machines.
    • Responsible for quality and meeting production goals.
    • Lead and direct a crew of up to four people.
    • Pull, inspect, and correctly label all required product samples.
    • Preventative Maintenance of equipment.
    • Troubleshoot equipment problems.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Able to work 12-hour shifts (7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am) to meet customer demands.
    • Able to work overtime as required.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Great attendance.
    • Possess a good mechanical aptitude and intermediate math skills.
    • Able to use hand tools to setup and adjust equipment.
    • Able to work with minimal supervision.
    • Experienced in using rulers, calipers, and other measuring devices.
    • Physically capable of lifting up to 60# occasionally.
    • Knowledge of how to read machine blueprints and parts list.
    • Physically capable of bending, kneeling, standing/walking on cement floors for long periods of time.

    Preferred Education:

    • H.S. diploma or equivalent
