- Provide comprehensive accounting support to clients, including month-end close processes, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Review and post journal entries and supporting documentation prepared by team members.
- Prepare and formally account reconciliations for month-end close.
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards LOC, etc.; proactively resolve reconciliation variances in a timely manner.
- Process and reconcile payroll through third-party payroll providers as needed and/or coordinate with the internal Senior Payroll Administrator
- Lead month-end close for multiple engagements.
- Maintain accuracy of all workpapers and month close packs
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and DCAA regulations.
- Manage regular client communication; lead internal and external client status calls.
- Cultivate a client relationship by understanding their business, needs and anticipating challenges
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in client's accounting processes.
- Collaborate with client to develop and implement best practices, streamline workflows.
- Proactively communicate with team members, clients, and leadership

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of government contracting experience for multiple types of contracts.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, general ledger accounting, or financial reporting.
- Experience with various contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPAF, etc.)
- Must have working knowledge of FASB and GAAP.
- Knowledge of CAS, FAR, DCAA compliance.
- Must have experience working with Unanet and QuickBooks

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant Consultant to work with our government contracting clients. You will work directly with clients, providing expert guidance and accounting/finance support. You will collaborate closely with clients to provide full life-cycle, managed accounting support to clients. This role involves leveraging accounting technical expertise to analyze financial data, identify opportunities for client process improvement and implement strategic solutions. This is a full-time, fully-remote position.
