    Description
    Position is responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

    Position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.

    Evaluates and makes improvements to accounting processes while ensuring that practices comply with organization accounting policies and applicable laws and regulations.

    Responsibilities

    Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory standards.
    Monitor and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
    Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
    Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    Coordinate and support external and internal audits.
    Supervise and lead the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and productivity.
    Train, mentor, and develop team members to achieve professional growth.
    Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    Stay up-to-date with accounting trends and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant.
    Maintain and enhance effective cross-functional business partnerships.
    Establish processes to monitor compliance and effectiveness of financial controls.
    Collaborate with the other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    5-7 years of accounting, financial analysis experience
    Three years supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area.
    Preference for CPA
    Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products
    Experience with Tableau preferred
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Good interpersonal skills to interact professionally with internal and external customers
    Proven ability to work with minimal direction, as well as be resourceful and independent in solving problems
    Proven ability to effectively work with all levels in the organization
    Proven ability to evaluate data, identify trends and provide analysis
