- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or advanced practice nurses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
- Monitor patients' responses to medications and treatments, identifying and reporting any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide wound care, dressing changes, and other specialized treatments as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Implement and monitor individualized care plans, including interventions to promote patient comfort, safety, and well-being.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including RNs, physicians, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
- Document all patient assessments, interventions, and responses in electronic health records (EHR) or other medical record systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, professional standards, and facility policies related to nursing practice and patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain licensure and stay current on best practices in nursing care.
