- Oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting for the organization, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Lead the preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
- Work closely with the finance team to develop and implement tax strategies that align with the organization's financial goals.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax issues and changes in tax legislation, providing recommendations as necessary.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants, maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and payments.
- Provide expert advice on tax implications of business decisions, acquisitions, and other corporate activities.
- Monitor and manage tax risk and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably in the Accounting + Finance industry.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with S Corp, Tax Returns, and Corporations.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex tax information to non-tax professionals.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality of work.
