    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Civil Engineer for this position will be responsible for the development of civil design parameters and independently perform engineering analysis, calculations, and code interpretations as it pertains to the design of Energy Facilities.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ENGINEERING

    o Surface site development plans such as grading plans, drainage plans, erosional control plans, stormwater prevention plans and site-specific permitting.

    o Equipment and tank spacing requirements including general safety and access best practices.

    o Rigid and flexible pavement roadway design, to include permanent and temporary access road design.

    o Proficient in utilizing survey data (topographic contour surveys, site surveys, State Plane/UTM coordinate projections) to meet project civil deliverables.

    o Well-versed in acquirement of standards associated with Department of Transportation, American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association, American Petroleum Institute, and United States Army Corps of Engineers requirements.

    o Review and evaluate project plans of proposed development and construction activities within vicinity of pipeline right-of-way to determine impacts to pipeline.

    o Perform pipeline stress analysis associated with the encroachment; including, but not limited, heavy equipment, roadway and railroad crossings over existing pipeline and provide pipeline mitigation recommendations as applicable.

    o Perform seismic vibration analysis of proposed seismic survey operations, blasting operations and construction induced vibrations activities near or within pipeline right-of-way.

    o Interface with private and governmental agencies, third party owners, developers, contractors, engineers, and potential partners to define project parameters and proposal scenarios.

    DELIVERABLE/PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    o Coordinate and communicate project-specific civil deliverables with team members of all disciplines.

    o Research, review, and design integration of Company Standards, Municipality Requirements, and Regulatory Codes as it pertains to project deliverables.

    o Review of site-specific geotechnical reports for purposes of site development and foundation design.

    o Perform independent QA/QC of drawing deliverables.

    o Review other discipline deliverables to ensure civil designs are properly executed and align with project objectives.

    o Perform field related work to obtain design pertinent information as needed.

    o Review and respond to project RFIs throughout project-life.

    o Review of detailed shop fabrication drawings or other third-party vendor drawings to ensure compatibility with intended civil design.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    GENERAL

    o US citizen or Permanent Resident

    o Select candidates will be required to participate in an in-person technical interview.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    o Extreme attention to detail, process orientation, and relentless focus on accuracy with a sense of urgency towards project objectives.

    o Strong work ethic and ability to establish priorities among drawing deliverables.

    o Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to work independently or with engineering and design teams of other disciplines.

    o Ability to react promptly and efficiently shift priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

    o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written as well as presentation skills

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    o Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.

    o Professional Engineer (P.E.), licensed in the State of Texas

    o Minimum 5+ years of experience in the following software/programs:

    o Microsoft Office Suite

    o Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil design and construction

    o Familiarity and experience in implementing the following codes/standards:

    o Title 49 CFR Parts 192 & 195

    o Occupational Safety and Health Administration

    o ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8

    o API 1102, API 1117, API 5L

    o Preferred

    o Experience in utilizing the following software/programs:

    o AutoCAD Civil 3D, CADWorx

    o Construction and field experience
