- Conduct daily rounds to monitor patients and nursing care, ensuring tasks like grooming, proper positioning, and staff performance are up to standard
- Address issues involving staff members (such as CNA's) and take appropriate action when necessary
- Adhere to protective equipment requirements as per department policies
- Assess and update Nursing Care Plans according to resident's needs and goals
- Ensure quality resident care by leveraging the skills and capabilities of the staff
- Guide and supervise CNA's in managing workload efficiently to meet resident's needs
- Coordinate Nursing Plan with prescribed medical care
- Ensure accurate transcription and execution of medical orders
- Manage medication orders and control and record narcotics inventory
- Maintain precise syringe counts and records
- Coordinate supply orders for the nursing unit
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation
- Contribute to the development of non-professional staff through training programs
- Review and adjust resident care plans based on nursing requirements
- Schedule and oversee performance evaluations for nursing personnel
- Provide direct resident care as needed
