Are you a VP of Finance who is interested in leading all financial operations for a white-label solution that will empower brands and retailers to take an innovative approach towards sustainability, resale, and the customer experience? I am partnering with a well-funded circular commerce startup to recruit a VP of Finance who will support the business through their next phase of growth. This client is poised to transform the way retail brands approach sustainability, the environment, plus redefine the consumer shopping experience.

Backed by some of the biggest name VCs on the West Coast, the company is tackling the resale market creating a seamless experience for customers and unlocking new growth opportunities for Brands and Retailers. The VP of Finance will lead all financial operations for the business, provide strategic financial guidance, and ensure all financial practices are aligned with company goals. The VP of Finance will also sit in on sales call to translate sales pipeline data from HubSpot into forecast probabilities

Role & Responsibilities:

Work closely with Cofounding team and Executive Leadership to define financial strategies
Work closely with VP of Sales to provide concrete financial support within a high velocity sales environment
Create P&L for full life cycle sales processes and translate sales pipeline data from HubSpot to forecast probabilities
Lead all financial operations, provide strategic financial guidance, and ensure all financial practices are aligned with company goals
Support company growth and scale through financial planning efforts, risk management and various investment strategies
Provide financial guidance to the Cofounding team and Executive leaders of the organization
Manage monthly close-out processes in QuickBooks, and oversee accounts payable and receivable
Oversee budgets, forecasting, cash management, financial modeling and accounting
Work closely with an outsourced tax and accounting team
Provide financial support for future fundraising rounds
Prepare investor reports and present to board in quarterly meetings
Identify and mitigate financial risks and improve financial operational efficiency

Skills / Experience Needed:

10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with significant experience in building detailed financial models
5+ years of team leadership/management experience
Proven experience in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting within multiple high growth startup companies
Proven financial experience within the startup eCommerce, B2B or direct to consumer space
Exudes confidence in working with key stakeholders and executives across enterprise retail, eCommerce and logistics partners
Previous experience providing financial support to Sales teams within a high velocity B2B Sales environment
Prior experience assisting in fundraising rounds and investor relations
Ability to dive deep into the weeds of financial modeling
Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, Docs, HubSpot, etc.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related
Master's degree + CPA is a big plus
