    Career Transitions is supporting a client in Indianapolis, IN who seeks a Senior R&D Mechanical Enginee r responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electronic components and systems.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic parts and systems, as well as experience with injection molding processes a plus.

    The Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer will play a critical role in driving innovation, solving complex technical challenges, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products.

    What you are doing as a Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer :
    Design and develop electronic components and systems, including PCBs, sensors, microcontrollers, and communication interfaces.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, specifications, and objectives.
    Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate design concepts and propose optimal solutions.
    Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from concept to production, ensuring compliance with timelines and budgets.
    Perform detailed analysis, testing, and validation of electronic systems to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
    Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability, with a focus on injection molding processes.
    Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

    Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to source electronic components and materials, as well as to optimize injection molding processes.

    Stay updated on emerging technologies, market trends, and best practices in electronics engineering.

    What you need as a Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer:
    Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. BSME, BSEE.7 years of experience in design and development, with a focus on electronic parts a plus.
    Proficiency in CAD software (e.g.

    SolidWorks, Creo) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, PSpice).Strong knowledge of electronic components, circuits, and systems, as well as experience with PCB layout and design.

    Familiarity with injection molding processes and their application to electronic enclosures and components.

    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions on time and within budget.
