    This person will coach, motivate and mentor all levels of employees, including our existing safety team. The Corporate Safety Manager will be a positive and energetic self-starter.

    This individual will serve as the strategic catalyst for setting the direction of our safety program and will inspire participation.


    Responsibilities:

    • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT - Responsible for mentoring new staff members enrolled in the Regional Safety Manager Development Program. Creates additional development opportunities to keep all staff members up to date on current industry trends.
    • PROGRAM ENRICHMENT - Responsible for supporting Regional Safety Managers and production leaders during the implementation of safety program elements and onboarding of new acquisitions.
    • DEPARTMENT LEADERSHIP - Leads the efforts of the Safety Department and accepts ownership of outcomes. Works collaboratively with our operational leaders to maximize relationships and promote the advancement of our safety culture. Acts as the designated Company spokesperson during legal proceedings and governmental compliance activities.
    • SAFETY PROFESSIONAL MENTORSHIP - Creates and follows a structured plan to directly observe and evaluate Regional Safety Manager's performance to ensure positive engagement with our processes and people.
    • PROGRAM ASSESSMENT - Performs annual gap analysis to ensure program elements are active in each region. Evaluates performance, celebrates success, and creates action plans to ensure best management practices are being followed.
    • ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION - Works collaboratively with staff members to ensure high-quality investigations are being performed. Actively participates in post-incident review events and verifies the completion of action items. Oversees the investigation process of serious or unique events.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • CSP required, or achieved within 1 year of employment
    • 5+ years of experience developing a successful safety program and culture
    • Previous experience leading people and managing processes
    • Strong ability to use technology to harvest and evaluate data
