    $29-33/Hour

    DenverSprings is a 96-bed behavioral hospital located outside Denver, CO in Englewood. The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment to adults, adolescents and their families. At Denver Springs we are dedicated to Changing Peoples Lives.

    The Assessment/Intake department plays an essential role in helping fulfill our mission of Changing Peoples Lives. Assessment Specialist team members assess the needs of walk-in and phone callers and completes initial psychiatric assessment on patients seeking treatment. The responsibility of the Assessment Lead is to perform the evaluation and admission process in conjunction with the on-call physician. Assists the Director of Assessment in directing all department activities and monitoring the quality of services provided.

    Position Details:
    • Facilitates response to request for services, including the initial response, the assessment and referral process, the designation of appropriate level of care, admission into services and appropriate follow up activity.
    • Conducts initial evaluation, initiates the assessment, documenting patient symptomology, functioning, needs and provides information to MD for LOC determination.
    • Demonstrates excellent customer serviced skills in assisting patients, physicians, visitors and coworkers in a prompt and courteous manner.
    • Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork and processes and EMTALA.
    • Maintains all preadmission and admission paperwork with accuracy, completes all per-certification with insurance companies.
    • Ensures appropriate staffing for shift. Minimizes use of overtime. Assists in monitoring attendance.
    • Educates and coaches staff and acts as a point person for clinical decisions. Reports all issues and incidents to the Director of appropriately.
    • Ensures staff has completed all needed documentation, call logging, insurance calls, and additional tasks prior to the end of shift.
    Qualifications:

    Requirements:

    • Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling or relevant licensure in state of practice.
      • LSW, CSW, LPCC, LPC, MFTC, LMFT, ADDC, or ACD Accepted
    • CPR and CPI Certification within 30 day of employment and prior to patient contact.
    • Prior work with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
    • Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
