- Carries out patient care according to hospital policies and procedures functioning within the limitations of the Nurse Practice Act.
- Established treatment priorities based on the medical and nursing diagnosis.
- Recognizes patient problems/complications and intervenes appropriately.
- Accountable for the safe administration of medication.
- Assess patient needs for discharge planning on admission.
- Plans and coordinates work flow to ensure completion of assigned duties in a timely manner.
- Assesses patient/family physical and psychosocial needs.
- Identifies need for patient/family teaching.
- Actively involves patient/family in plan of care when appropriate.
- Reports significant changes inpatient condition/response to treatment to supervisor/physician promptly.
- PRN minimum requirement: 2 shifts per month, 1 holiday per year
- Must be currently licensed to practice as an RN in the State of Colorado.
- One year recent relevant experience preferred.
- BLS required.
- ACLS and NRP required upon hire or within 6 months and must remain current.
- Must be willing to cross-train into all areas of the OB Department

Under the direction of the OB Nurse Manager, delivers quality nursing care to newborn/maternal patients in the OB Unit. Assures that patient/family needs are met. Demonstrates knowledge of patient/staff safety measures. Builds and maintains professional relationships.
