    The WorkAs the Project Engineer, you will provide technical project support for either the New Construction Lead with the focus on Post Delivery activities or support the In-Service DDG/CG Lead with technical support to TDP development.


    Position will require the following tasks:

    • Lead the Technical Data Package (TDP) process for Domestic Aegis Programs
    • Continuous Interaction with SI&T program office, Navy customers, Design engineering, Production, Management, LM Finance, and LM Contracts
    • Occasional travel to SI&T locations in Washington and between LM campuses in the Southern NJ area
    • Infrequent international travel
    • Occasional travel to Government locations and ship homeports
    • Lead the post delivery SOW development and planning efforts for New Construction Ships and Aegis Sites

    • 6-10 years' experience in design, integration, and/or installation engineering with knowledge of CG 47, DDG 51, and/or FMS Aegis or other USN surface ship combat systems equipment
    • Familiar with system design criteria, shipboard physical and electrical equipment interactions, major signal flows and interface requirements, and USN Shipbuilding Specifications
    • Familiar with USN instructions and certification process
    Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the SECRET levelDesired Skills:

    • 6 years' experience with BS Degree in Engineering
    • Familiarity with AEGIS Combat System and DDG 51 class new construction ship Technical Data Package development processes, including engineering design and integration interface across combat systems PARMs and with NAVSEA and shipbuilding representatives.
    • Former fleet service onboard USN AEGIS ships or in a engineering position at a NSWC
    • Earned Value Experience
    • Planning and MS Project experience
    • Strong initiative characteristics and exceptional teaming skills

    The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.


    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
