    We are currently looking for a passionate and organized Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) Specialist to support our Business Law Department. The ideal candidate will apply strong project management skills to assist with initiatives aimed at enhancing our Corporate Transactions, Tax, and Fund Formation and Investment Management (FFIM) practice groups. This role will involve collaborating with the BD&M Manager to stay informed on legal and market trends and to create opportunities for increased revenue and enhanced visibility.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide support within the Corporate Transactions practice group, which encompasses private equity, venture capital, capital markets, public company advisory, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, as well as the Tax practice group, including estate planning, family office, private client services, and employee benefits and executive compensation; along with the Fund Formation and Investment Management practice group, focusing on secondaries, sponsors, and institutional investors.
    • Craft and keep updated customized pitches/RFPs, presentations, and marketing collateral.
    • Implement integrated campaigns to raise the firm's profile through events such as conferences, seminars, webinars, and client entertainment. This includes managing logistics, sending invitations, website development, producing client-facing materials, tracking responses, and following up with communications.
    • Generate and distribute thought leadership content such as client alerts and industry outlooks using mass mailings, digital media, and internal newsletters.
    • Maintain the firm's CRM database, including data entry, external mailings, and reporting functions.
    • Identify strategic memberships, sponsorships, and events that could enhance our visibility and lead generation, assisting attorneys in maximizing these opportunities.
    • Evaluate the return on investment for marketing and business development activities.
    • Write and submit entries for relevant awards and directories.
    • Conduct research and competitive analysis to discover opportunities that can strengthen existing client relationships, widen our client base, and boost both external and internal visibility.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree required; a degree in marketing, business, or a related field is preferred.
    • At least three (3) years of general marketing experience, with a preference for experience in the legal or complex professional services sector.
    • A solid understanding of the legal industry and/or the financial services sector is desirable.
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills.
    • Proficient in prioritizing tasks, multi-tasking, and seeing projects through to completion.

The compensation for this role will fall between the specified ranges based on factors including education, experience, geographic location, and internal equity at Foley. NOTE: This position is offered on a hybrid basis.

    Salary ranges: Detroit, Milwaukee, Orlando, Salt Lake City, Tampa - $68,300 to $95,600; Chicago, Dallas - $75,100 to $105,200; Boston, Washington D.C. - $82,000 to $114,700.
