    Description

    Senior Environmental Planner

    You will lead and manage environmental planning projects in Northern California, focusing on compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Our employee-owned firm works closely with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure that projects meet environmental standards and contribute to sustainable development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and review CEQA documents, including Initial Studies, Negative Declarations, and Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs).
    • Conduct environmental impact assessments, analyzing potential impacts on land use, air quality, noise, biological resources, and cultural resources.
    • Collaborate with project teams and provide guidance on environmental regulations and best practices.
    • Engage with stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and the public to facilitate project approvals.
    • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project documentation for clients and agency review.
    • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental planning, with a strong emphasis on CEQA compliance.
    • In-depth knowledge of CEQA regulations and environmental review processes.
    • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
