    We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Travel Nurse in Charleston, WV. This is an immediate opportunity for the right candidate with 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

    Job Summary

    The PCU Travel Nurse will provide high-quality patient care to individuals who require close monitoring and frequent assessment but do not need ICU-level care. The successful candidate will utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information, detecting any changes and enabling timely intervention when necessary.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients
    • Perform tasks such as changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs
    • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions
    • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays
    • Initiate corrective action when monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate should possess excellent coping skills, be able to stand and walk for long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

    The estimated salary for this position is $123,456 per year, depending on location and experience.
