Come build the future with us. Interstate Advanced Materials is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate at our Urbandale, IA facility.

We are a wholesale distributor and fabricator of high performance plastic sheet, rod, tube and film supporting various industries including aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical, food processing, automotive, agriculture and more. Headquartered in Sacramento, CA, our family-owned firm employs over 190 employees in seven states across the US. Summary:

Interstate Advanced Materials is looking for a Warehouse Associate to help us grow in our fabrication capacity. This role will require attention to detail and the mindset to measure twice, cut once. The right candidate will be detail oriented & an excellent communicator with a positive attitude; willing & capable of growing with the company.

Responsibilities include:

Setup and run jobs, ensuring precise and accurate work & attention to detail
Set speeds & feeds based on material type, thickness, & cut size
General machine maintenance & upkeep
Maintain quality control documents and update setup information
Provide feedback to maximize programs for better run times and material yields
Keep work area clean and tidy
Accurately read and interpret prints & general work instructions
Check and measure parts to ensure quality & accuracy
Work as a team with other employees to help the branch reach its goals
Other duties as required

Requirements:

CNC experience is helpful, but not required.
Ability to read & interpret prints/drawings
Read measuring tape & calipers
Communicate positively & effectively with coworkers
Mathematical skills: Add, subtract, multiply, divide
Attention to detail
Able to drive a forklift
