+ Join our community experience Emerson College Under the direction of the Head Coach Secondary Assistant Coach will help in running an intercollegiate sports program at Emerson College. The Assistant Coach will be responsible for developing student-athletes scouting teams breaking down game film and assisting in organizing facilitation of practice games. + ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Assists head coach organizing preparing conducting individual team training match competition Assist monitoring coordinating training practice sessions Ensuring appropriate safety guidelines standards maintained Provides day-to-day guidance assistance support other assistant coaches coaching training sessions techniques individual players Aids coordinating administering overall program required Represents Emerson College athletic department various institutional programs externally media students parents general public Assist coaching strategies teaching methods develop players technical ability tactical solutions Analyze performance team individual opponents Provide leadership instruction improve team player Mentor student-athletes foster athletic academic emotional social growth Monitor progress prospective players application process Assist coordinating organizing potential on-campus visits Assists aspects recruitment retention diverse set prospective athletes Performs miscellaneous job-related duties assigned .+ QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor Degree preferred 0 - 2 years coaching experience post-secondary level professional competitive experience college playing experience required Valid driver license.+ KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES Demonstrated knowledge technical skills tactical strategy effectively teach communicate with players Working knowledge NCAA NEWMAC rules understanding philosophy behind them Self-directed motivated able work independently under pressure Commitment being positive member Athletics Department College community influence athletes same.+ PHYSICAL ABILITIES Activities commonly associated functions this job Physical demands described below representative must met employee successfully perform essential functions Reasonable accommodations may made enable individuals disabilities perform essential functions Ability sit stand long periods Concentrate short long periods time+Willingness travel work nights weekends Warm up team match day play competitively Disclaimer This job description states or implies these are only duties performed employee occupying this position Employees may follow other related instructions perform other duties requested subject applicable state federal laws Certain duties described herein may possible modification accordance applicable state federal laws.This is a part-time position ,19 hours per week.In addition to competitive salary Emerson College committed health well-being employees family members We offer generous benefits package regular staff scheduled work +20hours week.Benefits include outstanding plans limited out-pocket expenses dental plans generous time-off programs retirement benefit employer contribution once eligible Additional benefits life disability coverage commuter offerings available Please refer our benefits website full list benefits eligibility requirements.
