Occupational Therapist - Summer School Position

Compensation:
$50/HR, 20 hours per week

Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, July - August 8, 2024

Duration:
Summer School Program (ESY)

Caseload:
To be determined based on interview
Days per Week: 2-3 days (max)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Extended School Year (ESY) program in Pemberton, New Jersey.

This summer school position offers flexible part-time hours and competitive compensation.

The role involves providing occupational therapy services to students with a diverse range of needs, with the caseload and specific responsibilities determined during an interview.

Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments to identify students' individual needs and create tailored therapy plans.
Provide occupational therapy sessions focusing on motor skills, sensory integration, and other key areas of development.
Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other specialists to ensure cohesive student support.
Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress.
Participate in team meetings to discuss student needs and progress.
Communicate with parents or guardians about therapy goals and techniques for continued development at home.

Requirements:

Valid New Jersey State license in Occupational Therapy.
At least one year of experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Flexibility to adapt therapy approaches based on individual student needs.
