    Summary:
    Presbyterian is hiring a Cardio Technologist for the Heart Group at Presbyterian Hospital.

    The Cardio Tech provides primary support to the provider by proactively anticipating the provider needs, preparing the patient for the visit using established patient preparation guidelines, maintaining efficient patient flow, and assisting the provider with treatments and procedures*Performs scribe functions to assigned provider(s)*Uses advanced training to perform procedures with completed and documented competency, within scope of certification and PHS policy and under the direct supervision of the provider.

    These procedures include performing treadmill exercise tolerance tests, stress echocardiograms, 6-minute walk tests, and nuclear stress tests. Provides coverage to the EKG Department

    Qualifications


    Cardio Tech II:
    1 year of cardiac medicine experience AND 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

    Completed Medical Assistant program from an accredited school

    BLS (AHA and ASHI Healthcare Provider) required for all

    Annual Basic Arrhythmia Class and Pass Basic Arrhythmia Challenge Test within 9 months of hire date

    Completes Scribe training

    Requires knowledge of complex cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias


    Education:
    High School Diploma or GED


    Cardio Tech I:
    1 year experience as a Medical Assistant preferably in a cardiac setting

    Specialized training in clinical medical skills from an accredited Medical Assistant program

    High School Diploma

    Maximum Offer for this position is up to

    USD $26.46/Hr.
