    Job DescriptionOurImageCare Latham Officeis hiring apart-time MRI Technologistto join their teamThe hoursare every weekend, negotiable.
    Provides MRI services according to policy and procedure and considering the age and special characteristics of the patient. This includes all body parts.
    Clear understanding of indications, contraindications and hazards of MRI scanning.
    Adheres to MRI standards and practices as dictated by the ACR regulations. Provides service in a timely manner and completes the work on a timely basis.
    Cleans, maintains and monitors equipment appropriately. Troubleshoots equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations.
    Reports equipment problems to supervisor. Calls manufacturers service department under the direction of the supervisor.
    Provides quality MRI procedures for radiologist interpretation. Required to operate all MRI equipment used in the production of images. Responsible for performing the prescribed procedures requested on patients. Must obtain training for IV insertion and prepare IV contrast for injection.
    Must obtain consent for specified procedures. Must sign appropriate consent forms. May be required to lift, transport and position patients to include individuals that are unable to cooperate.

    Will be expected to stay late on occasion to accommodate an emergency case after normal working hoursKeeps supervisor informed of all unusual matters.

    Seeks supervisors advice and counsel and develop a spirit of cooperation in carrying out the work. Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this job.
    If not previously trained in CT, a willingness to cross-train and become certified in the modality.

    RequirementsPrefer 1-2 years of MRI experience.
    Prefer multi-modality skillset (CT)Associates degree or equivalent from two-year AMA approved college or technical school.
    Must have ARRT certification and NYS licensure. Must have MRI certification or be willing to complete MRI certification within one year. Current with continuing education requirements to maintain ARRT certification. Good oral and communication skills in the English language. Must demonstrate the ability to work as a team player.
    Knowledge of MRI scanning procedures. Knowledge of MRI safety standards and procedures. Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy. Knowledge necessary to provide optimum imaging and quality care to patients of all ages, physical and mental needs.
