    Marketing Manager

    The Jewish Community Federation of Richmond (JCFR) has been building, sustaining and connecting Jewish Communities in Richmond, Israel and worldwide for 85 years. Annually raising and distributing over $3 million, the Federation protects and enhances the well-being of the Jewish and general community through the values of tikkun olam (repairing the world), tzedakah (charity and social justice) and Torah (learning).

    The Jewish Community Federation of Richmond (JCFR) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing Manager to guide and lead our marketing department to the next level. .

    The Marketing Manager is a key member of the Federations Professional Team. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and managing our marketing programs, brand and strategic communications and the day-to-day operation of the Federations marketing and communications. The Marketing Manager will also develop and implement marketing and communications budgets and expenditures, as well as support an integrated and thoughtful approach to communications on behalf of the Federation.

    We are looking for someone experienced with creating marketing campaigns and strategies, as well as online marketing and social media strategy. A bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field is strongly desired. Familiarity with the Jewish community is helpful.

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    JOB DUTIES

    Devise and manage local marketing initiatives, including traditional, social and digital media.

    Manage the Federation website and social media, including the community calendar, blogs and e-newsletters.

    Monitor and measure marketing analytics and results to guide the effective distribution and messaging of marketing materials and campaigns. Use this information to guide marketing tactics, frequency and sequencing.

    Develop innovative ways to reach the community and work to connect them to our community partners, agencies and synagogues.

    Support the Development, Engagement, Jewish Community Relations Committee of the Federation by providing content and calendars for branded emails, social media posts and campaigns, offline marketing material, web based stories and blogs.

    Help review content and documents across all departments for relevancy, consistency, and brand compliance.

    Help identify opportunities for new content and PR based projects that drive communal engagement and objectives.

    Work with leaders to better learn what community needs are in order to better market and advertise specific services in each market

    Reviews communications across the organization to ensure proper grammar, accuracy, and meeting of style guidelines.

    Plans and develops communications to support development and engagement objectives.

    Collects data to continually improve quality and effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

    Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and effectively interfaces with outside constituents, consultants, and organizational partners.

    Work in partnership with the Reflector Editor to create and launch a substantive and interactive newspaper website.

    SKILLS REQUIRED

    Experience and General Requirements:

    4-year degree, preferably Marketing, or related field.

    Significant experience in coordinating marketing and/or advertising campaigns, to include online placements.

    Self-starter who can work independently as part of a team.

    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    Unparalleled communication, writing, and editing skills required.

    Ability to adapt and pick up new techniques.

    Keen eye for graphic design, attention to detail, and creativity.

    Proficiency with various social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Instagram, Pinterest and Tumblr

    Interest and knowledge of current events and marketing trends within specific geographic area(s)

    Experienced with marketing software and applications.
