    Senior IT Support Technician
    Manhattan, NY (Lower Manhattan / Downtown Brooklyn, NY)

    New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) are looking for a Senior IT Support Technician to provide fast and useful technical assistance at the ITService Desk . You will answer questions on technical issues and offer advice to solve them over the phone and in person.

    An excellent Senior Support Technician must have strong technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with difficult customers.

    In this role you will:
    • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or via Self Service tickets by providing 1st and 2nd Level support.
    • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
    • Assist users with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology including; Active Directory, password resets and email configuration.
    • Troubleshoot and solve system/desktop performance issues including lost or slow internet connections.
    • Install network printers, scanners, and various software in our Long Island locations.
    • Network administration such as running and terminating lines.
    • Provide white glove support to C-Suite and VIP users.
    • Provide troubleshooting assistance and guidance to teammates.
    • Follow up with vendors when first level troubleshooting has failed.
    • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
    • Document all issues, updates and resolutions in ServiceNow
    We require:
    • 3+ years of support experience at a Service Desk or similar IT Field.
    • Be able to diagnose and resolve Level 1 and 2 technical issues.
    • A deep understanding of windows operating system (windows 10 enterprise or above), installation, and troubleshooting.
    • Strong working knowledge of email configuration, office automation products, databases and remote control. (G-Suite a plus.)
    • Solid understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products.
    • Experience installing and troubleshooting network printers and scanners.
    • Must have experience in an IT Service Management System such as, ServiceNow.
    • CompTIA A+ Certified
    • Network + or other certifications a plus.
    • Ability to learn new technologies and adopt to evolving business needs.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college (preferred)
    • Customer-oriented and enjoys helping others
    • Valid driver's license and car.
    • Location will be On Site: Lower Manhattan / Downtown Brooklyn, NY
    Work Week: Monday - Friday
    On Call Rotation for weekends / after hours.
