    Hourly commission position + gratuity with benefits.Located in Santa Fe, NM. Working out of our Inn & Spa at Loretto.

    Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

    • Work under direction of the Spa Director.
    • Maintain positive and professional approach with employees, coworkers, and guests.
    • Communicate regularly with all spa staff on property regarding appointments and required timeframe for smooth workflow.
    • Greet clients in a courteous manner for all steps of their spa experience.
    • Ability to give meticulous massage treatments.
    • Consult with the guest to ensure expectations are met for a pleasurable visit, may include site tour.
    • Cross-trained to perform all services within a unisex salon operation as determined by license and certification.
    • Prepare massage equipment, sanitize instruments, treatment areas and supplies daily, and complete all tasks necessary for opening and closing shifts.
    • On-time attendance is necessary, and uninterrupted work is expected.
    • Answer the telephone identifying yourself, your department, and offering assistance.
    • Effectively selling retail products and promoting spa services.
    • Maintain proper opening/closing procedures and acting responsibly with transactions.
    • Book appointments either by phone or in person and recording the transactions in the appropriate area.
    • Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance, which includes wearing a clean and well-kept uniform, and nametag.
    • Follow all safety and health regulations including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocol policies.
    • Maintain spa rooms and public areas in a clean, comfortable and saleable condition, including front of house areas. (station cleared, trash picked up).
    • Report any accidents or injuries to the Security Department.
    • Carry out deep cleaning tasks and special projects.
    • Attend product knowledge training as required.
    • Keep current and up to date knowledge of changing trends and developments in the department.
    • Other duties as assigned consistent with the functions of this position as needed at any of the properties.

    Requirements:

    Qualifications:

    • Current license, massage therapist as required by the State.
    • Must be a passionate people person, as this job is highly interactive and requires superb customer service skills sales experience a plus.
    • Friendly and warm demeanor, excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask while maintaining poise.
    • Competent with computer technology to easily learn reservation management system, the point of sale system to process payments, and Microsoft Office Suite for basic document manipulation and printing.
    • Ability to work on your feet or sit for long periods of time.
    • Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 30+ pounds frequently.
    • Minimum of 1 year massage therapist experience required; spa or hospitality experience a plus.
    • High school diploma or equivalent experience/training.
    • CPR Certification a plus.
